Applicable to Legacy Power Wizard Members who signed up prior to November 11, 2024. 

Power Wizard’s membership-based subscription service is no longer open to new Members.

Power Wizard is owned by NextEra Energy Resources, LLC (together with its affiliated entities, “NextEra Energy Resources”). NextEra Energy Resources provides retail energy products and services to residential and business customers throughout North America under the Gexa Energy, NextEra Energy Services and Frontier Utilities brands.

The Power Wizard Service utilizes automated software to search online for energy plans for you based on the information you provide, and to enroll you automatically on a plan with a retail energy provider.

By making Power Wizard your agent, you are authorizing Power Wizard to take the following actions on your behalf:

1. Act as your electricity broker
2. Shop for your Retail Electric Provider (REP) and your electric plan
3. Select and enter into one or more agreements for retail electric service with REP(s) on your behalf
4. Access your account with each REP with whom you have an account
5. Obtain copies of your REP payment and billing history
6. Establish and modify your payment information with the REP, including but not limited to your credit/debit card information and/or automated clearing house (ACH) information with each REP with whom you have an account
7. Obtain your energy usage information from your current or previous REP, utilities, and Smart Meter Texas
8. Take such other actions as may be reasonably required to carry out the foregoing acts, in accordance with the Power Wizard Terms of Service

A Power Wizard Member subscription will automatically renew at the end of each subscription term, whether monthly or annual, at the same fee, unless we notify you of a fee change 30 days in advance. The agency authority and limited power of attorney granted to Power Wizard will continue until revoked in writing, according to the terms of the Agency Authorization and Limited Power of Attorney.

A member can cancel their membership at any time by contacting support@powerwizmail.com. If Power Wizard is not giving the member the benefits promised, Power Wizard will refund the unused portion of the annual fee, prorated to the start of the current service month. Power Wizard is compensated by customer membership fees alone. It does not otherwise charge or receive broker fees for placing our members on an electricity plan.

Power Wizard protects and maintains your data. Your personally identifiable information is maintained for two years after the end of our contracted service period to provide access to our tools and services. After two years, your personally identifiable information is anonymized and the anonymized data is maintained for data analysis and historical reporting.
