Discount Power Texas Reviews

If you’re considering trusting Discount Power Texas as your energy provider, a look at its reviews is a great place to start. Browsing reviews can help you see how these plans compare to Discount Power alternatives, but it’s important to use these tools wisely. For example, reading only one review — or visiting only one site — will likely lead to biased results about the company that you’re researching.

We’d suggest visiting a number of authoritative review sites to get a full picture of the Discount Power Texas customer experience. For example, visiting Yelp and the Discount Power Google Business Profile gives you access to over 1,500 reviews from current customers. The Better Business Bureau is also a good resource to consult — both for Discount Power Texas, and any other electricity plans you might consider.

Discount Power’s cheapest energy plan is the Wise Buy 36 plan. In some Texas zip codes, the Wise Buy 36 plan can cost as little as 11.3 cents/kWh at a 36-month fixed term. This plan has no usage charge if your energy bill exceeds or is equal to 1,000 kWh per billing cycle. Energy charges are set at a fixed rate of 7.2886 cents/kWh. TDSP delivery charges are passed by Discount Power Texas without markup, and TDU charges vary based on the power company in your region.

If your credit meets Discount Power Texas’s standards, you might be eligible for a no-deposit or prepaid energy plan. In either case, you will have to undergo Discount Power’s mandatory credit check to find out. If your plan requires a deposit, Discount Power Texas offers the LITE-UP (low-income telephone and electric utilities) program. If you qualify for LITE-UP, you can pay the deposit over the course of two installments.

How do I pay my Discount Power Texas bill?

Why has my bill increased?

If you’re wondering why your electricity bill has gone up, there are a few likely culprits. It’s important to keep in mind that countless functions of your home require power. Whether you’re doing laundry, charging mobile devices, or cranking up the A/C on a hot day, you’re going to pay for it. These seemingly-small uses of energy can add up over time, and can all contribute to higher payments. It’s important to be intentional with your energy consumption — especially if you want to avoid surprises on your next bill.

You may also have been moved to a variable month-to-month contract rate and are no longer on the fixed plan you signed up a while ago. Did you forget to renew? This can be costly, as electricity providers can pretty much double your rates within 3 to 4 months after your contract expires. As a Power Wizard customer, we have your back and remind you when it’s time to renew. And best of all, we do the renewal for you, so you will never fall out of contract and overpay.
