Who Was StarTex Power?

StarTex Power was a privately owned Retail Electric Provider (REP) headquartered in Houston, Texas.

Since 2004, the company provided electricity plans to residential and commercial customers throughout deregulated areas of Texas. In June 2018, StarTex Power merged with Constellation Energy, a Maryland-based energy company.

Prior to the merger, StarTex Power served customers across Texas and later became part of Constellation Energy’s broader service network, which extended across numerous states, including Connecticut, Delaware, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Massachusetts, Maryland, Michigan, Nebraska, New Jersey, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Virginia, Wyoming, and Washington, D.C.
