Texans Energy Reviews

Customer reviews often provided insight into billing practices, customer service, and overall satisfaction. As with most electricity providers, reviews tended to reflect either very positive or very negative experiences.

Before Texans Energy left the Texas market, reviews and ratings were available through sources such as:

  • The Better Business Bureau (BBB)
  • Facebook
  • Google Reviews

Consumers researching the company’s history may still find archived reviews, ratings, and complaints on those platforms.

Texans Energy Plans

Texans Energy offered several plan options for residential customers.

Fixed-Rate Plans

The company’s fixed-rate plans included:

  • A locked electricity rate for the duration of the contract
  • Contract terms that generally ranged from 9 to 24 months
  • Protection from changes in market electricity prices during the contract period

While the energy charge remained fixed, total monthly bills could still vary based on electricity usage and changes in Transmission and Distribution Utility (TDU) delivery charges.

As with most fixed-rate plans in Texas, customers who ended service before the contract expired could have been subject to an early termination fee (ETF), depending on the plan terms.

Month-to-Month Plans

Texans Energy also offered month-to-month plans for customers who preferred flexibility over a long-term contract. These plans did not require an extended commitment, although pricing could change over time based on market conditions. Availability varied by service area.

Texans Energy Business Plans

Texans Energy provided commercial electricity plans and customized pricing for businesses throughout Texas.

After reviewing a company’s electricity usage and operational needs, representatives worked with business customers to identify plan options and pricing structures that aligned with their requirements. When comparing commercial electricity plans, businesses often considered factors such as energy consumption, operating schedules, budget goals, and preferred contract lengths.

Texans Energy Customer Service

While Texans Energy was operating, customers could contact the company by phone or email for assistance.

Customer service representatives helped with:

  • Billing questions
  • Account management
  • Service-related inquiries
  • Payment support

Customer support was generally available between 7:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m.

Texans Energy Pay Bill

While Texans Energy was active, customers could pay their electricity bills through several methods, including:

  • Online payments through the customer portal
  • Phone payments
  • Mail payments
  • Bank bill-pay services

The company accepted all major debit and credit cards and provided support for customers with billing questions or payment-related concerns.
